Neru OTT is confirmed. : The Malayalam movie “Neru,” starring Mohanlal and Priyamani, is ready to stream on OTT. The courtroom drama film “Neru” directed by Jeetu Joseph and starring Mohanlal in the lead role was released in Malayalam on December 21. Not only was it a huge hit at the box office, but it also earned more than Rs.80 crore. The performances of Mohanlal, Priyamani, and Anaswara Rajan were the highlights of the movie. Now, the film is all set to be streamed on the popular OTT platform Disney+Hotstar starting from January 23rd. The combination of Mohanlal and Jeetu Joseph, known for their hit film “Drishyam,” had created high expectations for “Neru,” and it has lived up to them, becoming the talk of the town in Malayalam and piquing the interest of audiences in other languages as well.
The story goes : Sara Mohammed, a blind woman, is raped by a young man named Michael Joseph, who bears a close resemblance to the idol. The police arrest Michael, who is the son of a prominent businessman from Mumbai, and his father hires Rajasekhar (Siddikh) as an advocate. Michael gets bail, and Sarah receives a settlement offer from Michael’s family to withdraw the case. However, Sarah refuses to fight for justice. On the suggestion of the investigating officer, Sara calls lawyer Vijay Mohan (Mohanlal) to plead her case. The story revolves around the rapist’s identity, the relationship between Vijaymehan and Purnima Rajasekhar (Priyamani), and the eventual catch of the rapist. The movie is a must-watch for a deeper understanding of the story.
