Sukumar, Director
Bandreddi Sukumar is a renowned Indian film director, screenwriter, and producer, known for his intricate screenplays and nuanced character portrayals. Born on January 11, 1970, in Mattaparru, Andhra Pradesh, he has made significant contributions to the Telugu film industry. Some of his notable works include “Arya” (2004), “Jagadam” (2007), “Arya 2” (2009), “100% Love” (2011), “1: Nenokkadine” (2014), “Nannaku Prematho” (2016), “Rangasthalam” (2018), and “Pushpa: The Rise” (2021). Sukumar’s storytelling artistry has earned him accolades such as the Filmfare Award for Best Director- Telugu for “Arya” and the K. V. Reddy Memorial award. Prior to his directorial career, he taught mathematics and physics in Kakinada for six years. Currently, he is working on the highly awaited sequel, “Pushpa: The Rule.”
