Yo Yo Honey Singh Early Life

Hirdesh Singh, popularly known as Yo Yo Honey Singh, is an Indian rapper, singer, music producer, and actor. He was born in Karampura, New Delhi, India, on March 15, 1983.. He started his career in 2003 as a session and recording artist and later became a bhangra and hip hop music producer.

Yo Yo Honey Singh prefers to sing in his native language Punjabi and Hindi rather than English. He has produced many hit songs in Bollywood movies such as Cocktail, Mastan, Gabbar is Back, Bhaag Johnny, and Mumbai Saga. His debut song in Bollywood films was “Shakal Pe Mat Ja,” featuring Gagan Sidhu.

Singh’s album “International Villager” was released on November 11, 2011. The track “Gabru” from the album featuring singer J-Star topped the Asian music charts, including the official BBC Asian charts. He has performed at many college festivals, including Ansal Institute of Technology and Ramjas College in Delhi.

Singh’s efforts in the music industry have earned him multiple awards. In 2012 he won the ETC award for the Best Sound in “Cocktail” and the PTC Punjabi Music Award for Best Folk Pop Award for “Angreji Beat” from his album “International Villager”.

Yo Yo Honey Singh has also acted in a few Punjabi films. He made his acting debut with Baljit Singh Deo’s Punjabi film “Mirza – The Untold Story” (2012), performing the role of Deesha, a mad gangster.
